    Guåhan Sustainable Culture (GSC) is looking for high school students who would like to learn
    about local agriculture, and contribute to Guåhan’s food security at our community gardens and
    Food Resiliency Hub!

    Our Serve and Grow volunteers will get hands-on experience working alongside GSC team members while gaining garden skills, making professional connections, and serving our community.
    Volunteers will engage in a variety of garden tasks including planting, watering, weeding, harvesting, preparing garden beds, maintaining an aquaponics system, and other garden
    activities.

    • Schools: Open to All Schools
    Ideal for individuals or small groups of students. Research work can be primarily online. Some organizations require a Photo release and presentation permission needed before process can begin. This project allows the student to work from home with limited transportation and printing needed.

    Sometimes all we need is a helping hand. Learn about what various non-profits do and share the information with as many people as you can.

    Give the parks back to the children

    There are roughly 100 neighborhood parks around the island in 10 of our villages on Guam. These Neighborhood Parks are built within older housing developments, such as Pagachao-Agat, Liguan &, Kaiser, Dededo and many more. Neighborhood parks are not owned by the local government or federal government, they are owned by the community. There is no funding for maintenance of these parks. 

    Let's give these abandoned parks back to our children, back to our communities.
