    Reach Out and Read (Early Literacy Project )

    Ideal for individuals or small groups of students. Support this project of Island Girl Power/ The Ayuda Foundation. REACH OUT AND READ seeks to work with highly motivated volunteer readers in the community and schedule them to read to children that are generally underserved at our various Public Health Centers across the island.

    Guam Earth Bucket

    Ideal for individuals or small groups of students. Large groups can be done given space, equipment and materials are easy to find. Preferred location to facilitate project is at the student’s home, youth center or community location. This project uses mostly recycled items and allows the student to work from home in cases of transportation issues.

    Community Garden

    Excellent project for a group of students. Can be done through UOG Cooperative Extension or Island Girl Power Community Garden Locations.

    Invasive Species Awareness & Removal

    Educational campaign from Guam Waterworks and EPA to bring awareness about Drinking Water and Ground Water- classroom lessons...

    BAMBOO Invasive Species Awareness & Removal

    Ideal for small groups of students. Cost for this project is little to nothing. Items needed are gloves, saw or machete, pruners, rope, hammer, nails and work clothes and shoes. Preferred location to remove bamboo is southern Guam, with mayor’s approval. Hut construction should be done with permission from the principal or mayor for a school or a community park.

    Thank a Soldier Project

    Ideal for individuals or groups of students. Students write short letters to soldiers that are deployed to give their support and best wishes.

    Be a part of YOUTHrive, a youth-led coalition! It takes all of us to have a vibrant, empowered, and resilient community. As a young leader, you have the ability to support and mobilize the community to prevent our youth from being exposed to drugs and alcohol.

    Too Cool to Do Drugs Virtual Youth Conference 2020

    Sanctuary, Incorporated of Guam is hosting our Too Cool to Do Drugs virtual youth conference this September! We intend to reach out to provide service learning opportunity for all middle and high school students during our upcoming conference on September 12, 2020.

    As a non-profit community-based organization, we seek to reach out to Guam’s youth and offer education and prevention skills in the struggles of substance abuse, suicide, and social/interpersonal relationships.

    MP4 – Micronesia Precious Plastics Pilot Program

    Micronesia Climate Change Alliance (MCCA) is a grassroots network of individuals and organizations dedicated to creating community-centered solutions to climate change. MCCA is a non-profit organization that needs your help reducing plastics going into the island’s landfill. Students will see firsthand Guam’s battle against post-consumer plastic waste and join in the fight to help reduce plastics going into the landfills.

    Come join the Guam Head Start Program as we MOVE, LEARN and PLAY!  Help us promote health and wellness by encouraging exercise for children ages 2 to 10 years old.
